The Australian Cattle Dog Club of Victoria
Championship Show Sunday 15th March 2009

I would like to thank the Cattle Dog Club very much for this great opportunity to judge their Ch Show. The grounds made it a bit difficult for some of the handlers but I was very pleased with the quality and presentation of the dogs. Thank you for the great sportsmanship shown in my decisions.

Baby Puppy Dog (Two entered – one shown)
1st 2. A and R Spargo’s Pureheel Royal Huracain
A very promising well balanced dog with good top line and tail set. Nicely angulated with good bone. Excellent head correct ear placement. Good coat and colour. I would like tighter feet.

Minor Puppy Dog (One entered)
1st 3.S and D Trewarne’s Pureheel Diamond Fire
A red male with good coat and colour and correct tail set. Lovely head, well balanced with correct eye and ear placement.
Would like a better lay of shoulder. Excellent feet but the front is a little east west at this stage.

Puppy Dog (two entered one shown)
1st 4.M&M Turner’s LIndeliza Sahara
Dog of excellent type. Well balanced with good top line and tail set and carriage. Good bone and feet.
Excellent head, correct eye and ear placement.
Good coat and colour. Very good coming and going with good reach and drive.

Junior Dog (Three entered –two shown)
1st 8. A&R spargo’s Ch Pureheel Toyal Titan
Well balanced 15 month blue male dog with correct top line and good length of neck. Tail set a little higher than I would like. Good front and bone with correct feet. Excellent head with a correct eye. Very good coming and going with a good side gait .
2nd 7. Dianne Murphy’s Maryheather Wolfman
17month Male correct in size with a good top line and tail set.
A little upright in shoulder and could do with a little more neck. Lovely head and expression with correct eye and ear placement. Very good coming a little close behind with a good side gait.

Intermediate Dog (Five entered)
1st 12. K&S boulter’s Kylott Fabled One
Well up to size with good top line and tail set. Good bone and feet with excellent head and ear placement and eye colour. Very good reach and drive and good coming and going.
2nd 10. S&D Trewarne’s Sunnyacres Carter
Well balanced dog with a good front and rear. Top line slightly dippy on the move. Very good coat and colour. Would like tighter feet
3rd 9. J&E Rayner’s Sunnyacres the Joker
Nicely balanced with good top line and tail set. Moderate angles front and rear.Good bone and feet. Well balanced head with good ear and eye placement.Good side gate.

AUSTRALIAN BRED DOG (Four entered)
1st 16. M&M Turner’s Ch Austheel Mister Muscle
A 7 year old dog of excellent type. Very good top line and tail set and carriage. Well angulated with good bone and feet. Had a balanced head could be a little stronger but good eye, colour and good ear placement. A little heavy in coat making him look a bit stuffy but excellent texture and colour. He had excellent side gate and was very good coming and going. Pleased to Award him dog CC and Runner up Best of Breed.
2nd 15.J&S Schole’s Ch Strathblue Country Music
A well balanced four year old blue male with a good top line and tail set.
Very good bone and feet. Has a balanced head but would like a stronger foreface. Was unsettled in his side gate on the day but was good coming and going.
3rd 14. W&L Greasley’s Nerralee Mystic Illusion
A young 12 month old well balanced dog with good angulation. He had a good top line and tail set. Good coat and colour. Immature for this class showing promise just needs time to grow. Moved well on the day.

OPEN DOG (Three entered, two shown)
1st 19. D Muphy’s Ch Maryheather Drum Boy
A five year old blue male. A well balanced dog with excellent top line and tail carriage. Very good coat and colour.
A well balanced head with good eye and ear placement. I would like more fill in the fore chest and tighter feet. Excellent side gate very good coming and going.
2nd 20. K Fisher’s Ch Adavale Mr Dazzler
A red 7 year old male, of good size. Good lay of shoulder but too straight in rear resulting in the top line not being level. Tail a little high set due to steep croup. Very good bone and feet with excellent coat and texture. Excellent head and expression. Good coming and going with top line not level on the side gate.

Veteran (one entered)
1st 21. S&J Schole’s Gr Ch Strathblue Aussie Lord.
A well balanced blue nine year old Male of excellent type I could see working all day. Excellent angulation front and rear with good tail carriage. Dropping slightly behind the whither on the move.
He was carrying a little excessive weight .But had very good bone and feet. Well balanced head with good eye and ear placement. Very good bone and feet . ( Reserve CC well deserved)

Baby Puppy Bitch (Three entered and two shown)
1st 23. A&R Spargo’s Pureheel Royal Embrace.
A well balanced four month old blue girl. Well angulated front and rear with a good top line and tail carriage. A little high in the hindquarters at this stage. Lovely feminine head and expression. Good rear drive and side gate.
2nd 22. S&D Trewarne’s Graniteblue Skye is The Limit.
A well balanced five month old girl with good angulation front and rear. Lovely head and eyes. Good bone and tight feet. A little high in the rear at this stage. Very good reach and drive.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH (Two entered one shown)
1st A&R Spargo’s Pureheel Start the Fire
An six month old red bitch who was well balanced with a good top line. Very good bone and feet but a little steep in angulation. A balanced head would like a little more strength. Good eye and ear placement. Very good coat and colour. Excellent reach and drive good coming and going.

PUPPY BITCH ( Two entered, one shown)
1st 27. Mrs S Herbert’s Lindeliza Blue Beauty
Eleven and a half month old bitch who was well balanced with a good balanced head and good eye and ear placement. Good top line with balanced front and rear. Very good bone and feet.

JUNIOR BITCH (Three entered, two shown)
1st 31 Mrs K Mcpherson’s Pureheel Royal Secret
Well balanced blue bitch with a good top line and tail set. Excellent head and good eye and ear placement and good bite. Good bone and feet with good reach and drive and good length of neck.
2nd 29.Mrs H Dickison’s Tallawong April Snow
A lovely blue well balanced bitch. Loved her type but disappointed in her movement on the day. Good top line and tail carriage. Well balanced head with excellent eye. Very good coming and going but paced most of the time.

INTERMEDIATE BITCH ( Three entered and shown)

A Blue bitch of excellent type. Good top line and tail set and carried herself well. Excellent head with good eye, ear and bite. She had very good bone and feet. Good coming and going with excellent side gate.
2nd 34. M&M Turner’s Blueranch Sheps Idol
Blue bitch of excellent type. Good top line and tail set and coat colour. Would like a bit more fore chest. Excellent head, balanced with good eye and ear set. A little close behind very good coming and good side gate.
3rd 32. S&J Scholes’s Strathblue Cool Breeze.
Dark blue bitch with good top line and tail carriage. Very good bone whit balanced heard with good eyes and ear set. Good coming and going with a balanced side gate.

AUSTRALIAN BRED BITCH (FIVE SHOWN )
1st 39. A&R Spargo’s Ch Pureheel Royal Indulgence
Bitch of excellent type impressed upon entering the ring. Well balanced with good top line and tail set and carriage. Excellent angulation with good bone and feet.Very good dark eye with good ear placement. Very good coat and texture.Very good mover coming and going and side gate. Very pleased to award her Bitch CC and Best in Show.
2nd 37.W&L Greasley’s Devonview Holly
A blue bitch of excellent type. Well balanced with a lovely feminine head and good eye and ear. Good top line , Tail set and good reach and drive and side gate. Well deserved Reserve CC.
3rd 38.D Murphy’s Maryheather Red Joy
A six year old red bitch of good type. Well balanced body and head with good eye. Good bone and feet moved well.

1st 43. E&L Sopers Ch Deveonview Tamie
Well balanced girl with correct balanced head with a good dark eye. Good bone and feet. Excellent reach and drive, good coming and going.
2nd 41. W&L Greasley’s Ch Nerralee Blue Jasmin
Three year old blue bitch. Well balanced with an excellent top line and tail set. Well balanced head and expression with a good eye. Good bone and feet.Brown showing through the top coat. Lacks a little in reach and drive and coming and going.
3rd 42. M&M Turner’s Ch Austheel Miss Muffit.
Six year old blue bitch well balanced with good angulation front and rear and excellent bone and feet and head proportions. Good eye and ear shape. Good on side gate but not moving well on the day.

VETERAN BITCH (one shown)

Well balanced seven year old red girl. Good top line and tail set. Good bone and feet. I would like a stronger head. A very good mover;
